this week so far has been the most productive week i've ever had, so far, for the last couple of months. i still haven't finished my school requirements but aside from those (pressing) matters, i've basically done a lot. for one, i finished the things that i was supposed to do for the org on time (despite my product being a crap). then i finished reading 5 chapters on that bloody university physics book (saving me approximately 5 weeks of reading once the semester starts), read halfway through 'the story of edgar sawtelle', finished quite a lot of movies, and managed to catch up on naruto shippuden (all in a week). and of course, last but not the least, i've actually managed to wake up early (early being around 9 and not later than 10 am) for three consecutive days (to watch the playoffs of course) and involve myself in heavy betting. i'm rooting for a lakers | cavs finals in the nba, but the nuggets and magic sure are a hell of team to beat. damn, they're actually splitting the chances to fifty-fifty, not making betting easier for me.
three day on to waking up 'early' and i'm beginning to feel drowsy at 11:30 in the evening when my usual sleep time is 2 or 3 in the morning. i'm not sure if i should be happy or not, but i'm just going to go with the notion that sleeping early would actually be good for me.
well, waking up early to watch the playoffs has it's perks too. man, east and west finals are ruthless this season. blink and you'll end up missing a wacked-up drive or a buzzer-beater three pointer. the teams this year are just so strong and relentless that it makes predicting the outcome of the game pretty hard. in the east, i thought that it would be an easy series for the cavs but then they got beaten at game 1 with james bleeding. i don't think anybody saw that coming. in the west, lakers winning the game by just a point is well, kinda surprising too.
what's probably nice about this season is the fact that the teams are strong and the fact that the teams seem to be equals that the games are so unpredictable. probably best example of this was the cavs-magic game 2 a while ago. around 7 seconds into the shot clock, the game was tied at 93 . then Hedo Turkoglu's shot with one second left in regulation gave the Magic a two-point lead. 1 freaking second. i was sure everybody, even those cheering for the cavs (including me) thought the game was a goner, and that the magic would take the lead, 2-0 into the series. cavs took the time out. then with one second on the shot clock, with the ball in their possession, the cavs turned the table in the persona of Lebron James who shot his only three point shot of the game, with only just one second on the clock, giving them a 1 point lead, taking the game to tie the series, 1-1. man, a winning three pointer buzzer-beater! truly a shot coming from the season's MVP. salute to the king himself. man, that was just awesome, awesome. couldn't ask for a better shot to end that game and tie the series. just fucking awesome...what was thought of as a goner suddenly sprang back to life...just, fucking cool. not all nba players could pull off that fucking stunt. no way.. (of course, lebron had a nice pass from williams, so a pat to the back goes to williams too, but still, that shot wasn't your ordinary buzzer beater.) and to end my rant about cavs-magic game two, i'll just leave you with the winning shot of the game.

okay, so bottom line : the lineup for the playoffs this year is just fucking strong. and i am urging all of you to watch. not a basketball fan? well, this year's finals might make you one. start watching.
and if you're asking me if i'm getting paid for saying (and sort of promoting) this thing, answer is (sadly) no. XD
okay so i said i'll end the rant with that shot above but actually, i'm ending it with this: (just had to do it XD)
